Soooo… I said I  would wait until 4.2 buuuut, It’s Sunday and I was bored, so I decided to give limera1n a try.  This is what happened:

First, I had to upgrade my phone to 4.1.  This was a pain actually, and I’m not really sure why.  I attempted to do the firmware update and my phone wouldn’t come out of recovery mode.  I tried using recboot to bring it out and it still rebooted to DFU/recovery mode, which was awesome… but then, for some reason, I tried to restore for the 3rd time using iTunes and I ended up getting error 3004, which was better, and meant that I could try using recboot again and bring it out of recovery mode.  This time it worked and I was finally running iOS 4.1 on my iPhone 4.

The following part, which was just to use Limera1n, was cake.  I did exactly what the instructions told me to do and I was able to jailbreak 4.1 without subsequent issues. 

Would I do it again?  Eh… Not sure HDR photos or game center is worth the hour it took to get running, but at the same time, didn’t have much else to do today soooo yeah, I probably would do it again.  I DEFINITELY will update to 4.2 for airplay.
